1. Who we are

The One Thing (theonethingguitar.com) is operated by Fatamorgana Srl, Via Giosuè Carducci 185/A, 97100 Ragusa, Italy — VAT no. IT 01806180889 ("we", "us"). Contact: info@fatamorganasrl.com.

2. The product

The One Thing is a web application for learning the guitar fretboard: a guided daily practice session, exercises, progress tracking and study tools. It runs in your browser, works offline, and keeps your practice data on your device.

3. Free tier and trial

The app can be used free of charge with a limited daily session and the first part of the learning path. A 14-day free trial of the full app is available once per person; it requires no payment card, no email and no account, and ends automatically. Nothing is charged at the end of a trial.

4. Subscription

Full access is sold as an annual subscription to the web app. The current price is shown in the app before any purchase. Where purchases are processed by a payment provider acting as merchant of record, that provider's checkout terms also apply and will be identified at the point of sale. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time with effect from the end of the paid period; after a subscription lapses, the app keeps working offline for a 30-day grace period before returning to the free tier.

Your data is never behind the paywall. Export and import of your practice data are free forever, whatever your subscription status.

5. Right of withdrawal and refunds

See the Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under EU or Italian law.

6. Accounts

An account (email sign-in) is optional and is required only for features that need one: synchronising your practice between devices and the AI-assisted study features. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure.

7. Acceptable use

You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial study. You may not resell access, circumvent access controls, or use the app in a way that disrupts the service for others.

8. Intellectual property

The app, its teaching content and its design are the property of Fatamorgana Srl or its licensors. Your practice data is yours.

9. Warranty and liability

The app is provided with reasonable care, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, or your statutory consumer rights.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app. The version at theonethingguitar.com/terms.html is the current one.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also enjoy the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your own country.
